I know this is the second post in a row that isn't fashion/beauty related but I couldn't resist dedicating a post to my 18th Birthday party. On Friday, me and my friends all went for a meal and drinks at the hotel which my parents run. As you can probably see from the photo's, we got taken in a hummer limo! It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

When we got the the hotel, my parents had covered the walls in pictures of me when I was younger and our table was covered in decorations and cute animal balloons! My Mum had also made us each a 'party box' containing personalised cookies, chocolate truffles with my initials on and little torches. After the meal, my cake was brought out which oh my goodness, it was a Harry Styles torso cake! I couldn't believe it. Unfortunately as the night went on, I drank waaaay too much and I seem to have forgotten a lot of the second half. I have now come to the conclusion that I really dislike alcohol. I am never drinking again. Ever.

I have had such an amazing 18th Birthday and it will definitely be a few days that I will never forget. The presents that my friends and family have bought me are so amazing and I literally feel like the luckiest person in the world! Coming up on my Blog will be a 'What I got for my birthday post'. I know some people are a bit funny about these kind of posts, but I for one love seeing what other people have got for their birthdays.

If you're already 18, what did you do for your 18th? And if your not 18, what are you going to do to celebrate?

Happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to me, Happy Birthday to meeEEEE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! I literally can't believe it. I'm actually 18! I'm officially an adult..I mean I don't look it, but yes, technically I am now an adult.

This birthday has both excited me at the fact I am now able to do most things, but made me quite sad that I'm kind of saying bye to my childhood. It's unbelievable how fast the years go by. I remember being age 5 in year 1 and looking up to the year 6's thinking I'd never get there, and now here I am, in year 13 and age 18. When I was younger I always used to see 18 year old's basically as adults, but now that I'm at this age I feel exactly the same, and just as much of a child as I was then..and yes I do still watch the Disney channel. I guess instead of being sad about leaving my childhood behind I should just be happy at all the exciting things I have to come.

Today I've just been at sixth form which isn't mega exciting but every time someone said 'Happy Birthday' to me it felt so nice. Tonight I'm going for a meal with my grandparents and brother which should be reaaaally nice. I've only opened presents from some my friends so far (camera, perfume, socks, necklace and chewing gum), as my Mum can only come back from work tonight. I tell you, waiting until tonight for my presents is pure torture! Then I've got my meal and party with my friends on Friday night which I am ridiculously excited about. My parents have hired a limo and everything EEEEEK!..and no alcohol involved at all ;) ;)

I thought I would include some photo's of mini me just to show you how much I've changed from when I was a teeny tot to being 18 years old (not that I'm not still teeny!).

I used to look a bit like Dora the explorer, don't you think!

I don't think I've done a beauty wishlist blog post before but there's quite a few beauty items/products I want at the moment!

1. ghd IV Pastels Jade Styler, £95, - I already have some ghd hair straighteners but to be honest, I think I've used them to death and it's time for some new ones! I really like these ones because they're in a really pretty pastel green colour.

2. Lipstick in the colour 'Saint', £8, TOPSHOP - I don't really wear lipstick very often but this colour is really pretty and will just add a pinky tint which wont look too out there.

3. Nail polish in 'Rock The Boat', £10.95, - As always, pastel nail colours and my favourite and I think this blue-ish-lilac colour is so pretty.

4. Tangle Teezer Original Pink Fizz, £10, - I swear every beauty blogger has a tangle teaser except me! I've heard so much good stuff about them so I need one in my life. Plus this one is pink so it's even better!

5. NARS Powder Foundation, £32, - I mainly stick to high street make up brands like Rimmel and stuff, but I really want to try a foundation powder from a higher end brand just to see whether it's really worth the extra price.

6. Vaseline Spray To Go Total Moisture Moisturiser, £4.99, - I own lots of moisturisers but I hardly ever get round to moisturising just because it's time consuming and leaves you with that greasy feeling! This really appeals to me though, as you just simply spray it on and your done.

If any of you liked the look of the HairTrade products, please click this link to check out their site (I'd really appreciate it as it will help me with a competition!). They sell all things for your hair, from all different well known brands.

Yep, I did it. I took the plunge and bought a Canon 600D! I know it's a lot of money to spend in one go, but my friends gave me £100 for my birthday towards it, and I'm going to be getting more birthday money to go towards it. So it's basically a birthday present! I've wanted one for so long, so it's great to finally get my hands on one of these babies.

For those of you that don't know, the picture quality on Canon 600D's are amazing (some of the best Bloggers/Youtubers use them!). I've been playing around..well, taking selfies, and you can really see the difference in quality compared to just your regular camera. I'm really looking forward to being able to take really professional looking photo's for my blog and having lots of lovely photo's to look back on. Of course I couldn't use it for this blog post since I needed a picture of the actual camera.. how annoying haha!

I'm no tech pro, so I'm still getting used to how it works. Some of it confuses really me! If any of you have a Canon 600D and have some tips for settings and stuff, that would be much appreciated!

Not this Friday, but the next is my 18th Birthday party eeeek! My birthday is actually on the Wednesday before but I don't think partying on a school night would be such a good idea! I'm having a meal with 9 of my friends and then we're going to have drinks. We'll probably also do some super cool dancing since there's going to be a DJ.. I'm so excited!

Anyway, the theme for it is formal so I needed to find a new dress. I got a bit stressed out trying to find the right one since I can be a bit fussy, but I always think when in doubt, go for a black dress. I love black dresses just because I think black is so much more flattering than wearing other colours. I found this one in Topshop and it's a fairly simple bodycon dress with a high neck, which I think looks really nice. I also got a triangle-y necklace from Topshop to go with it.

I've also bought a different black dress from Asos which I will do another post about, since that's another option that I could wear for my party.

What's your go-to style of dress?

As always I have a fair few things that I currently itching to buy.. would be so much easier if money was unlimited right? I guess that would ruin the fun.. well, maybe. To be honest, I should probably be doing some form of revision/work for sixth form but instead I'm here procrastinating (what I'm best at) browsing the internet for things I want to buy!

1. Canon EOS 600D Camera, Argos, £399
I've been wanting one of these cameras for so long now. I know they're super expensive but the quality of pictures that they take is insane! Since my birthday is this month, I'm thinking of investing in one with my birthday money.

2. Shell Pink Oversize Scrunchie, New Look, £2.99
A few months ago I probably wouldn't have gone near a scrunchie! But now they seem to be coming into style and I actually really like how they look when people use them in pony tail's and other various up-do's.

3. Pink Glitter Block Heel Jelly Shoes, River Island, £18/ White Block Heel Jelly Sandals, River Island, £22
I really want some jelly shoes for the Spring/Summer but I can't decide between these. I think the glittery one's are so old school and girly but I guess the white one's would go with a lot more, hmmm.

4. Benefit High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer, John Lewis, £18
I've never actually owned or used any form of highlighter before so I'm quite interested in giving it a go! I think the benefit one looks great and I've heard good things about it.

5. Light Purple V Neck Cami Top, River Island, £12
Quite a simple piece, but I love cami's and the colour of this one is beeeautiful. I think this will be great for Spring/Summer.

6. Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Textured-Leather Tote,, £260
Okay I know this one's a bit OTT in the cost department but seriously, how pretty! I love simple, black bags.. especially big ones that hold all your stuff.. dream on Rachel, dream on.

Tell me if you like any of the items in my current wishlist! What are you guys lusting after this month?

I haven't really been up to much at the moment, but as always I manage to find things to take pictures of! I do love Instagram so feel free to follow me @R_achelMarie and leave your Instagram name in the comments below and I'll follow you :)

1. I love my bedroom. 2. It's March! (My birthday month). 3. My giant make up bag. 4. White chocolate cookies though. 5. I thought the pictures were cute. 6. Retail therapy. 7. Healthy tea (chicken with new potato's and tomato and chick pea sauce) 8. First ever Big Mac (which I thoroughly enjoyed).

I can't believe I've only just discovered how amazing Ebay is for finding really nice clothes. I have bought the occasional item before but I was looking the other day and I came across so many beeeautiful dresses. In particular, this Kylie Jenner inspired dress caught my eye as I'm a huge fan of her style and just her in general really! Since it was only £11.99 (+ £1.99 for postage) I couldn't resist it! I didn't expect it to come mega quick but I had it by the next day which I was really pleased with. And if there's one plus to internet shopping it's that there's nothing quite as exciting as a parcel addressed to you being delivered... anyone else agree?

I do apologise for the ridiculous amount of posey pictures but I like to take a few just in case most of them turn out wrong! As you can probably see from the pictures, the dress is really pretty and it's something you can definitely dress up or down. The material quality of it isn't the best but that's to be expected from a dress that only costed £11.99. I like to ruffle the dress up a bit so it's not too long, but if I was going to a more formal event I would probably wear it the full length.

Here's a link to the dress if any of you are interested.
