'Teatox's' seem to be the in thing at the moment and I've been so intrigued to try one out for myself! I was lucky enough to get to try the StripTeas (..oo cheeky) 14 day teatox*. The teatox comes with three different bags of tea. One for morning, one for the day time and one for before you go to bed. This teatox is supposed to help boost your metabolism and curb cravings to help with weight loss. I'm not overweight/trying to loose weight or anything but I had been feeling quite bloated and wanted to see if I could get rid of that! Not only is the tea supposed to help with weight loss, but it's also meant to be good for your skin, mood and promoting sleep! So what did I think of the teatox?...

  • I definitely noticed that I felt a lot less bloated and less sluggish after meals.
  • My skin has improved so much. Although that could be a combination of the tea and the skin care products that I've been using lately!
  • Having a large mug of tea after every meal really helped me to feel fuller meaning I didn't crave snacks in between meals.
  • This was probably just a placebo effect, but I felt like I had so much more energy and felt so much more motivated!
  • I've been sleeping noticeably better which is good for me as I'm one of those people that could easily still be trying to fall asleep at 4 in the morning.. insomnia problems!
  • This obviously varies person to person but I'm not a massive tea drinker (coffee all the way) so the taste wasn't really to my liking. The taste wasn't a massive concern for me though as I wanted to try it to see if it benefitted my health and how I felt.
  • Since I study from home this isn't an issue for me, but for someone who goes out to work and leads a busy 'on the go' lifestyle, it may be a bit difficult to find time to have the mid day tea!

So that was my opinion of the teatox and overall I would say it's worth it for the benefits! The taste for me was quite a problem as I really am not a tea fan but I'm sure that tea lovers would really enjoy it! Obviously everyone is very different and reacts to things differently so this may work amazingly for some, but do nothing for others! If you fancy trying out the teatox yourself you can purchase it HERE and you can also use the discount code Rachel10 to get 10% off your purchase!

The Topshop nails range is one one my favourites nail polish ranges. I don't know what it is, they just always seem to have the most gorgeous range of colours. When it comes to nails I'm normally a pastel kinda girl, but I spotted this gorgeous dark purple/plum shade and couldn't not buy. I have no idea why the shade is called 'Middle Child' but I have to say, I do always like it when products have a name (don't ask me why - I just do).

I know this shade is very Winter and we are now coming to the end of Winter, but I've never really been one to stick to seasons when it comes to colours anyway.. I mean I pretty much only wear monochrome for a start!

I find that I only need one coat of this for the colour to look as it does in the bottle. The only down side I could say about Topshop nail polishes is that they do chip quite easily. They're good for just a one day/evening nail look, but not so much for long term wearability!

Do you have any Topshop nail polishes?

It's been quite a while since I did my last 'Wish List' post but to be honest, I just haven't felt like buying anything for a while...(which pretty much never happens) I have to say, my bank balance has definitely benefitted!

Anyway, that phase didn't last long and I now have a list of things I am after from Topshop! And yes typical me with all the clothes being monochrome...

1 | Rosie Monochrome Miniskirt | £45
Yes I definitely have an obsession with Topshop skirts. They are just always so flattering and no other shops seem to make them in the same style. I love the zip detail and monochrome design of this one.

2 | Glow Highlighter | £9
I'm kind obsessed with contouring at the moment so I'm really loving trying out all different highlighters. I mean who doesn't love a good highlight?!

3 | Grid Print Dress | £26
After seeing 'InTheFrow'/Victoria wear this in her last Youtube video, I just fell in love! I mean it would probably be way too long on me (short problems) but it's just so nice!

4 | Beaded Romper | £47
Similar to a LBD, I think a little black playsuit (LBP) is just as nice and flattering! I love the simplicity of this one but also how the beading detail makes it a bit more dressy.

5 | Slim Curve Blazer | £49
I've never actually owned a blazer but I absolutely love how classy they look. Topshop are finally selling this one in their petite range so I'm quite tempted!

6 | High Crown Fedora Hat | £32
I love fedoras! I don't know, i just think they look so nice and classy. I'm not entirely sure I would have the guts to wear it if I bought it though...

7 | Lipstick in Wicked | £8
I love wearing bright red lipstick but I'm yet to own a nice dark red shade. This one looks so perfect and the right balance between not too dark but not bright red either.

8 | Scallop Frill Tee | £17
Just a simple top but I love it and the scallop detailing adds that cute kind of look.

What's your favourite thing on my list?

Finally the last product I've been trying out from The Body Shop Aloe range! This time the gentle face wash. Skin care is something I find difficult to get into the routine of, so using this every day or so has actually made quite a difference to my skin. I mean it may have just been a combination of all of the aloe products that have made a difference but who knows?!

I've been using this to wash my face in the morning before I moisturise/apply any makeup. I've found that using it in the morning with warm water is so refreshing and not only makes my skin feel so refreshed and clean but also really wakes me up for the day! Before using this (and the other aloe products) I pretty much always had at least one big spot on my face that was almost impossible to cover with makeup. Since using it, I have noticed that I haven't been getting as many and my skin is looking so much healthier and brighter.

Oh and once again this product doesn't have a scent just like the rest of the products in the range.

Using the three products in the Aloe range have really helped my skin a lot. People that are already avid skin care junkies maybe wouldn't see any difference, but for me it really has as I've never really had that kind of routine before!

What products do you use in your skin care routine?

Another product from The Body Shop Aloe range! As I mention time and time again, my skin is super dry so this soothing day cream has been working amazingly. I start by putting on some of the Aloe soothing gel as soon as I wake up. Then once that has sunk in, I apply the day cream. After doing this for a few weeks or so.. not going to lie, but my skin has never felt so soft and smooth! I used to get lots of little pimple spots on my fore-head which seem to have reduced so much too. I mean I don't know if that's anything to do with using these products but it certainly seems that is the case!

The cream doesn't have a scent which I'm liking as it doesn't feel like you're putting anything chemical-y on your face. It just seems more natural. I'm normally so bad at getting into the routine of using skin care products but this has been working so well that I've really been trying to keep it up! My skin still is far from flawless *dreams* but I've definitely seen a difference.

Have any of you tried anything from The Body Shop Aloe range?

I love a good series! In fact I probably prefer watching series' rather than watching films. I just find them way more exciting/you can get into the characters more. Here are a few of my faves at the moment...

The TV series I am most obsessed with is Gossip Girl. If you haven't seen it, it's basically about a group of very rich young adults that live in the upper east side of New York. I got the complete box set for my birthday last year and finished watching all of them within a couple of months. It is AMAZING! I admit it's very far fetched but oh my god, the drama, scandal and how glamorous it is just make it SO good. There is some serious fashion inspo if you're into that like I am. Oh and Chuck Bass. Need I say more?

I am also a huge Pretty Little Liars fan. I've only seen up to series 3 but all the series have recently been added to Netflix so I can finally watch them all! Again, PLL is SO exciting and dramatic but even more so than Gossip Girl. Seriously if you lose concentration for 10 minutes you've probably missed like 10 things that have happened. I would also just like to add that I find it so scary! The first season isn't very scary at all.. more just a mix of a typical girly teen programme and a bit of creepyness. But as you go on, it turns more into a thriller/murder mystery and there are some real scary moments!

My last series favourite of the moment is Modern Family. This is quite different to my usual choice of typical teen/ super dramatic picks but I love it! It's a comedy about a big family but it's very current hence the 'Modern'. That probably makes no sense but if you've seen it, you will get what I mean! I'm not normally a massive fan of comedies (except for Friends obvs) so if you're normally more into things like Gossip Girl, 90210, etc, then deffo give this a try.. (but it's nothing the same as them!).

What are your favourite TV series at the moment?

Foundations are probably the product that I get most excited to try. A good foundation can really make a huge difference to how your make up looks and affects how confident I feel! I was lucky enough to get the Benefit Hello Flawless foundation from my brother and sister for Christmas

As my skin is super dry, this foundation has always appealed as it claims to create a luminous and healthy look and contain an Oxygen wow hydrating complex to give a 'plumping' effect. It's a medium coverage and promises that you will be able to say 'Goodbye imperfections' and 'Hello Flawless!'. I don't know about you, but it sounds pretty darn good! I mean who doesn't want flawless skin?!

I was incredibly impressed with this foundation. After using my highstreet L'Oreal Infallible foundation for a while (which is still good, just not amazing!), I could totally see the difference in how good it was. I love how it's medium coverage so it's nice and light, yet it still covers up blemishes so well! The consistency is light and liquid-y therefore lovely and hydrating. Even on my dry skin! I noticed that when used with my favourite Nivea hydration primer, the foundation goes on so smoothly and lasts for most of the day. I mean you might want to reapply a bit if you were going out in the evening. Even after a full day, when I was removing it there was still so much product on my face!

When it comes to Benefit products you just can't forget the packaging. I love how simple and pretty the bottle looks. It's definitely something that I think features quite nicely in my makeup bag. Of course Benefit makeup isn't cheap but when it comes to this product I approve of the price and think it's 100% worth it. I actually think that foundation is the one product where it's worth spending more. Unlike mascara where you can still get cheap high street mascaras that are just as good as high end ones, with foundation I think you can actually tell the difference. Would you agree?

Have any of you tried this foundation? What did you think?

You may have already read my post all about my gorgeous Daniel Wellington watch. I'm kind of obsessed with it. I opted for the classic St. Andrews watch* with rose gold detailing (I'm obsessed with rose gold atm!) I absolutely love the simple and modern design and how it goes with just about everything that I wear.

Anyway the reason I am posting about it again is because I have an exciting offer available for you all. If you do happen to be interested in purchasing a Daniel Wellington watch, you can use the discount code 'holidayrachelcoco' at the checkout to get 15% off your purchase (the offer expires on the 15th January). I actually think these would make a really lovely present for someone or maybe just a present to yourself?! ;)

I'm definitely no skin care expert but I always find that The Body shop have the most amazing products for improving my dry skin. I was lucky enough to recently win a competition where I got a few of The Body Shop products from the Aloe range! Eeeek. It was the perfect prize for me!

The first product I've been trying is the Aloe soothing gel. I've never used a facial gel before but I've been LOVING how hydrating it is. I've been applying some to my face first thing every morning and oh my, my face has never felt so smooth. Once I apply it, I let it sink in for a while before applying any makeup. I've genuinely noticed a difference in my skin. It creates such a smooth hydrated base for my makeup and I've noticed that i've been getting less of those big painful blemishes that I usually always get.

The only down side..(well not exactly a 'down' side) is the fact that it doesn't really have a scent other than a slight chemical/alcohol-y smell. I'm a fan of products that smell good normally so it let me down in that category, but to be honest that does give me the impression that it's more of a 'serious' product that is really going to work and make a difference to my skin (which it does).

Have any of you tried this product?

I am literally always on the hunt for the perfect volume shampoo & conditioner that will give my lifeless hair a bit of an oomph! My most recent try outs have been the Schwarzkopf (had to check the bottle to spell that right!) Biotin + Volume shampoo and conditioner. They were on offer for around £2.50 each from Tesco so I couldn't not!

Considering how cheap these were I was pretty impressed. You know how normally when you've got freshly washed hair it's all poofy and too soft to do anything with? Well after using these I found that my hair still had quite a bit of texture making it so much easier to style and add volume to with other voluminising products! I also noticed that it adds so much body to the end part of my hair which usually looks quite limp (oh the struggles of long hair) and left my hair so soft I couldn't stop running my fingers through it.

Out of all the volume shampoo & conditioners I've used this is probably one of the best. I definitely think it's better than the Elvive Fibrology which is surprising since it's cheaper!

What's your favourite volume shampoo/conditioner?

As you may have already seen I got a copy of Girl Online by Zoe Sugg for Christmas. I've been really wanting to read it since it came out so I was pretty chuffed. Now I know there has been this massive scandal about the whole 'ghost writing' thing but I think that has been talked about enough.. so I'm just going to focus on the book!

I've read a few posts about Girl Online and a lot of bloggers have said they thought it was good but much more suited to a younger age range (13-15). But to be honest, I'm not a big reader at all and I literally have the concentration of a goldfish.. therefore I found this such an easy and enjoyable read! Also can we just take a moment to talk about how FREAKING CUTE the story is. Basically this girl (Penny) goes to New York and meets this super attractive dream guy (Noah) and they fall in love. Okay I know it's a bit unrealistic but I do love dreamy cute stories like that. Plus.. GOALS.

Oh and also not only is the story so sweet but the book is so pretty! I just love the pastel colours and cute polaroid pictures. It's definitely the kind of book that I'd leave out in my room just for display purposes!

Have any of you read the book? What did you think?

Fellow petite girls will understand what I mean when I talk about the struggle of finding the perfect coat. The struggle is real! For ages I've been trying to find the perfect long camel coat. But when you're 5'1 this is extremely difficult. They tend to either completely drown me or just be such an awkward length that makes me look even shorter than I am. This is when I say THANK YOU MISS SELFRIDGE FOR MAKING A CAMEL COAT FOR YOUR PETITE RANGE!

I came across this petites camel fur collar coat and I am so obsessed with it! Not only did I finally manage to find a camel coat that doesn't drown me but yep.. it also has a fur collar. ALL THE FUR PLEASE! This coat is actually sold out online and I had to do a bit of hunting to finally get my hands on it. It was £79 which is a dece amount but it's a coat and England is freezing.. therefore it's fair to say I'm going to get a lot of use out of it.

I also must add that I feel very 'Made In Chelsea' when I wear this.
